APPLICATION
Desalination
MEDIA SUPPLIED
Anthracite, silica sand and support gravel
PLANT FLOW RATE
100,000 m³/day
The Skikda desalination plant produces 100,000 m³/day of drinking water by reverse osmosis. The project was developed under a 25-year DBOOT scheme and entered operation in 2009.
KEIKEN supplied anthracite, silica sand and support gravel for the multimedia filters. The plant has forty multimedia filters, followed by cartridge filtration and five reverse osmosis racks.
The reference demonstrates supply capacity for large volumes of mineral media and their coordination in a stratified configuration. KEIKEN’s scope is limited to the filtration media package and does not include construction or operation of the plant.
