Supply and installation of the storage and backup system
The scope covers batteries, hybrid inverters, backup interface, electrical materials, installation and the associated building work.
A home with a PV installation already in service wanted to take the next step: store the daytime surplus for use at night and, above all, keep its supply when the grid fails. In an isolated home, a long outage means no pumping, no refrigeration and no climate control.
Eight 4.6 kWh battery modules were installed, 36.8 kWh in total, arranged in floor-standing towers and connected to two hybrid inverters of 10 kW and 8 kW with backup function.
A backup interface separates the home circuit from the grid, so that in an outage the system switches over and keeps supplying the house with stored energy. KEIKEN supplied the electrical materials, installed the system and enclosed the plant room.
