Filtration solutions tailored to every project.
At KEIKEN, we supply pressure filters made from different construction materials depending on operating conditions, water characteristics and the requirements of each installation. We offer customised solutions that meet the technical needs of each process, ensuring strength, durability and operational reliability.
GRP (FRP) filters
Made from glass-fibre reinforced polyester, offering high corrosion resistance and a lightweight, durable solution for a range of water treatment applications.
Carbon steel filters
Robustly constructed equipment designed for demanding applications. Various anti-corrosion protection systems can be incorporated to suit operating conditions.
Efficient filtration is key to the performance of the entire process.
Filtration is a fundamental stage in ensuring water quality and the proper operation of water treatment facilities. At KEIKEN, we develop solutions tailored to each process, optimising hydraulic design, material selection and operating conditions to support efficiency and continuity of service.
Water quality and filtration efficiency
Solutions tailored to each process’s requirements, promoting effective particle removal and achievement of water quality objectives.
Reliability and operational continuity
We optimise operating conditions and cleaning systems to reduce maintenance interventions and support stable operation.
Protection of downstream equipment and processes
Appropriate filtration helps protect membranes and other sensitive equipment, reducing the risk of fouling and supporting performance.
Filtration tailored to each process.
Our pressure filters are integrated into drinking water treatment, desalination, water reuse and industrial water treatment facilities, adapting filtration technology to the conditions and objectives of each application.

KEIKEN’s experience in water treatment enables us to understand the technical demands of different filtration systems and the importance of selecting suitable components for each process.
Everything you need to know about pressure filtration.
What are pressure filters used for?
They are used in drinking water treatment, industrial processes, pretreatment, water reuse and protection of downstream equipment.
What is the difference between a sand filter and a multimedia filter?
A multimedia filter combines layers of different materials and densities to improve retention and extend filter runs.
When is activated carbon used?
When the aim is to reduce chlorine, organic compounds, colour, odour, taste or other adsorbable contaminants.
How is the filter diameter sized?
It is calculated from the flow rate, the filtration rate, the allowable head loss and the operating regime.
How is backwashing designed?
We consider bed expansion, wash flow rate, water availability, drainage and valve sequence.
Can the filters be automated?
Yes. They can incorporate automatic valves, instrumentation, a PLC, a display and filtration and wash sequences.
What construction materials are available?
They are selected according to pressure, corrosion, the water treated, the environment and the project requirements.
Can they be supplied skid-mounted?
Yes. We can integrate filters, pipework, valves, instrumentation and the control panel into a compact solution.
What information do you need to prepare a proposal?
Flow rate, water analysis, target quality, available pressure, operating regime and site constraints.
Do you carry out factory testing?
The scope can include leak tests, functional tests, control tests and assembly verification.
Do you offer commissioning and training?
Yes. We can install, configure, test and train operating staff.
Can you refurbish existing filters?
Yes. We assess vessels, internals, valves, media, instrumentation and control to propose improvements.
We design the filtration your installation needs.
Do you need a sand, multimedia or activated carbon pressure filter? Our technical team will help you define the most suitable solution according to flow rate, water quality and operating conditions.
We are a B Corp company
B Corp certification independently assesses a company’s environmental and social performance, transparency and legal accountability. For us, it is more than another label: it is the framework we use to make technical decisions. Every plant we design is also evaluated for its energy consumption, the water footprint it helps reduce and its impact where it is installed.
