Our contribution

Supply of granular activated carbon for the filtration/adsorption stage
The scope of this reference is the supply of filtration media. The flow rate stated describes the plant in which they are installed.

The project

The Hellín drinking water treatment plant, in Albacete, was designed to treat 850 m³/h, equivalent to 20,400 m³/day. The treatment train includes ozonation, pH adjustment, coagulation, flocculation and settlement, sand filtration, granular activated carbon filtration and final disinfection.

KEIKEN’s reference covers the supply of granular activated carbon for the adsorption and polishing stage. This filtration medium is used to reduce organic compounds, odours and tastes, and provides an additional barrier within a multi-stage treatment process.

This project highlights KEIKEN’s ability to select and supply filtration media suited to drinking water facilities with demanding requirements for quality and continuity of service. KEIKEN’s historical records identify FCC Aqualia as its client.
